Hoverboards have been constantly evolving to the point where they are always adding exciting new features for users to take advantage of.
One of these new features is the addition of Bluetooth technologies that allow hoverboards to have new features with this added technology.
In many cases, these features can be tricky to use if you are not that familiar with Bluetooth systems.
Let’s see how you can fix these Bluetooth features on your hoverboard.
Why Do Some Hoverboards Have Bluetooth?
Many new hoverboards have come a long way from older models that just came equipped with very basic features. In some cases, people buy hoverboards with features like Bluetooth and they don’t even realize it until a later time.
4 Ways to Fix Bluetooth Issues
Check Distance
One of the most common issues with Bluetooth in general is that it does not often have a long range of distance. When hoverboards use Bluetooth to connect a phone to the board itself, it often has the impression that the phone is going to be with the board in a close proximity.
If you are far away from the board, try getting closer to see if the Bluetooth connection improves.
Check Device Connections
Just like any other speaker or headphones that use Bluetooth, most Bluetooth enabled devices can connect to multiple devices. If the board is connected to other devices that you don’t want to be paired, it could interfere with the connection you are trying to establish now.
If you want to prevent this, you will want to get the devices that are connected to the board and unpair them manually.
Reset the Hoverboard
Many times, Bluetooth connections can get confused and caught up with multiple connections to other devices. Hoverboards have been implementing more and more technology that can get confusing to deal with and manage if you are unaware of the inner workings of Bluetooth.
Oftentimes, simply resetting the Bluetooth system and wiping it’s memory will make it easy to pair a new device. A reset of the hoverboard will allow the board to go back to the state it was in when you bought the board to begin with.
Check or Charge the Battery
The last thing you can easily do to resolve Bluetooth issues is to check on the state or charge of your battery. This could be caused by the battery being on a low power mode or have an underlying issue.
You can first try charging the unit to see if the increase in power brings the Bluetooth system back to life. If you have tired charging and are not seeing the Bluetooth signal working, this could indicate that your battery has an underlying issue and could need to be replaced.
